In fact, this date represents a sacred anniversary for Inter fans: the day of the historic Champions League victory in Madrid in 2010 and the definitive achievement of the Treble. Sixteen years after that night, which marked one of the most iconic and unforgettable moments in the history of the Nerazzurri club and Italian football, Marco Materazzi has chosen to reopen his personal archive to celebrate that everlasting bond. MM23 is not presented as a simple autobiography, but rather as a true emotional journey through an extraordinary career, told through the objects that preserved its deepest soul: memorabilia, jerseys, trophies, and memories. Every photograph becomes an open door to a precise moment, a challenge, a victory, or a friendship. From the symbols of Italy’s World Cup triumph in Berlin to the legendary milestones achieved with Inter, Marco entrusts his memorabilia with the task of telling his story in an authentic and surprising way.
The project’s major technological innovation is the introduction of augmented reality, accessible through the TLT AR App. By scanning the photographs of the most iconic objects from Marco’s career with any smartphone, the images transform into immersive stories narrated by his family members, closest friends, teammates, and lifelong companions. They are the ones who, coming to life through the pages of the book, share never-before-told anecdotes, emotions, and behind-the-scenes stories, creating a collective narrative that goes far beyond the football pitch. It is an innovative experience that merges memory and technology, past and present, revealing not only the champion, but also the man, the friend, and the protagonist of an unforgettable era in international football.
From an editorial perspective, MM23 retraces the life, career, and complex personality of Marco Materazzi through images, testimonies, and exclusive content, offering fans a completely unprecedented perspective. The creative direction of the project was curated by Mattia Priori and Daniela Brughini, while the texts accompanying the photographic narrative were entrusted to journalist Andrea Elefante. The visual component is enriched by the black-and-white photography of Henry Ruggeri and the color imagery by Alessandro Scattolini.
