
Drake Ramberg designed Venezia’s fourth kit From Drake, to Drake
It almost feels like a sign of destiny what is written on Venezia’s new Fourth kit, once again bearing the signature of NOCTA, a sub-label owned by Drake. The design of the jersey is in fact the work of Drake Ramberg, a historic Nike kit designer of the Nineties – among his many creations, the Arsenal 1995/96 away shirt, the one with the lightning bolt. Inspired by the Venetian flag and the iconic symbol of the Winged Lion of Saint Mark, Venezia’s fourth kit for the 2025/26 season is conceived as a symbol of pride and belonging, built on the colors and the iconographic power of the banner of La Serenissima. The visual language blends references to the city with Drake Ramberg’s distinctive style, capable of transforming patterns, color palettes and symbols into iconic graphic narratives. Every detail, from the palette to the geometries, engages in a dialogue with the visual heritage of Venezia FC and the city’s cultural imagery.
Returning to Drake Ramberg, he is the author of some of the most iconic kits of the 1990s: from Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund, all the way to the Italian national team; he has influenced entire generations and redefined the aesthetic codes of football. His approach, rooted in cultural research, symbolism and visual storytelling, conceives the jersey as a narrative object that speaks of place, culture and sporting spirit. The creative stated: "What drew me to this project is the unique cultural relevance that Venezia FC carries with it: a legacy that goes far beyond the football pitch", says Drake Ramberg. "The club has captured global attention through its identity, its image and its unmistakable sense of belonging, standing out beyond sporting results. This combination of history, symbolism and the energy of contemporary design represented a rare creative opportunity. My goal was to honor that tradition and, at the same time, translate it into a timeless jersey, expressive and instinctively connected to Venice".
