PUMA unveils the latest jerseys that CR7 will wear in a World Cup Both inspired by the waves of the sea
PUMA presents the new jerseys of the Portuguese national team, particularly significant as they will accompany Cristiano Ronaldo in the last World Cup of his career and, likely, in some of his last matches wearing the national team jersey.
Both in the design of the Home and the Away kits, the theme of the sea, a key natural element of the country, stands out: a land washed by the ocean, a favorite destination for surfers, with a long maritime history that, from the 15th century, featured prominent figures such as Prince Henry the Navigator and Vasco da Gama. The waves are expressed on the kits in different ways: first through the color tones of the Home and Away jerseys, and then through the graphic design, monochromatic and regular on the Home, while on the Away they take a V-shaped silhouette.
“We wanted to connect with fan communities by presenting ourselves in the places and moments that truly matter to them. This event was born from that belief, offering local players the chance to experience these new kits firsthand before anyone else, on the field in their own city,” said Nadia Kokni, Vice President Global Brand Marketing at PUMA, regarding the street football event held in New York at Domino Square, where not only the Portuguese national team jerseys but also those of ten other PUMA national teams were unveiled.
