Sponsormania: Pepsi All teams who have worn shirts with the blue and red round logo

In 1897 a North Carolina pharmacist invented a digestive drink based on caffeine and dyspepsia, a natural root that promotes digestion. In a short time, Pepsi-Cola spreads and begins to undermine the trade of the direct competitor, Coca-Cola, through targeted marketing campaigns: in the period of the great depression Pepsi offers twice the product at the same price as its rivals becoming the most consumed beverage in the United States within 20 years. Through impactful advertising campaigns and exceptional testimonials such as Michael Jackson and Madonna they also manage to take over the European market but, at the level of sport marketing, they always remain a step behind the Coca-Cola Company.

It is for this reason that the round blue and red logo, divided by a white stripe, will begin to appear on football uniforms consistently at the turn of the 2000s, just when rivals are leaving the sports field. In the seventh episode of ''Sponsormania'' we retrace all the teams that had Pepsi as their sponsor:
