The new Italian National team jersey's made by adidas
The search is now over
January 17th, 2023
After countless previews, leaks and speculation, adidas has finally unveiled the new jersey for the Italian national team, marking the return of the brand with the three stripes as technical sponsor of the Azzurri after a four-year hiatus in the 1970s. And the inspiration for the design of these jerseys comes precisely from that historic period, with a veined blue reminiscent of marble and the three white stripes emphasising the line of the shoulders. This will also be the first jersey to feature the new Italian national football team crest on the chest, unveiled just a few days ago and designed by creative agency Publicis Groupe.
In addition to the first jersey, which is traditionally always blue, the away version was also unveiled, dominated by the usual white, interspersed with marbled veins on the blue. To mark this historic moment, adidas and the FIGC are launching "The Search" communication campaign, a symbolic journey through the characteristics of Italian identity that aims to highlight the history of Italian football and the country's identity between past, present and future, thanks to a series of cameos by Italian football stars Donnarumma, Rosucci, Del Piero and the winner of the last Sanremo Festival, BLANCO.
