Formula 1 gets a new look in Milan A day with Ray-Ban, Hamilton, Leclerc and Peggy Gou
Formula 1 no longer exists only on the track. Between fashion, music and pop culture, the Circus has built an imaginary that goes far beyond motorsport. In Milan, on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix, this intersection took shape on the balcony of Palazzo Reale, with Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Peggy Gou as the protagonists of a Ray-Ban evening.
Thousands of fans gathered in front of the historic Milanese building to greet the two Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers. After last year’s appearance, when more than 20,000 people filled the square, Hamilton and Leclerc returned to the balcony of Palazzo Reale, confirming how the anticipation surrounding the Monza Grand Prix has become an integral part of the city’s cultural calendar. Alongside them was Peggy Gou, DJ, producer and icon of contemporary culture.
The real protagonist of the evening, however, was the Monza Grand Prix Edition 2026, the new limited edition from the Ray-Ban for Scuderia Ferrari line. Inspired by the legendary Italian circuit and also paying tribute to Michael Schumacher, the collection takes a silhouette inspired by the 1990s and updates it with a contemporary aesthetic.
The wraparound metal frame retains Ray-Ban’s signature double-bridge aviator structure, while the gradient lenses introduce the Scuderia Ferrari HP red, which is also echoed on the temple tips and nose pads. A design that brings together heritage, performance and one of the most recognisable elements of Ferrari’s identity.
The collaboration between Ray-Ban and Ferrari thus reflects a Formula 1 that is increasingly connected to fashion and culture. Eyewear becomes a way of translating speed into style, while the presence of Hamilton, Leclerc and Peggy Gou captures an ecosystem in which sport, music and fashion now speak the same language.
