The 2026 World Cup in North America is approaching, and adidas unveils the official Home Kits for its 22 federations, including: Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, and Wales. The collection of shirts reflects the heart of each nation through color combinations and patterns that recall key elements of their national identity. Hidden stories, famous landscapes, traditional architecture, and iconic designs from historic kits—all come together to unite fans around a shared passion for their country. Throughout the collection are details referencing the history of the World Cup tournament, including nods to classic jersey designs, past victories, and memorable dates.
The collection also introduces a new version of the adidas logo, lenticular and heat-printed: this process creates a one-of-a-kind final look, altering the shape of the brand’s logo and adding an innovative visual touch. Sam Handy, adidas GM Football, stated: "The national jersey is a symbol of unity and pride for a nation. As teams take the field on the world stage at the biggest World Cup the world has ever seen, these jerseys carry the hopes of an entirely new generation of fans, while also representing those who came before them. For a World Cup, we must create moments that go beyond the stadium and the 90 minutes of play; so we designed kits that pay tribute to each nation’s roots—while embracing an era where every fan, wherever they are, can be part of the story."
The references behind the kits of already qualified national teams
The Argentina Home Kit features vertical sky-blue and white stripes in a multiform design, thanks to a three-tone gradient effect that recalls the shades of blue from the team’s three World Cup-winning jerseys (1978, 1986, and 2022). On the back of the collar is a custom signature reading 1896, celebrating the founding year of the AFA.
The classic blue of the Japanese National Team Home Kit comes to life through an abstract graphic featuring ash-blue linear details, reflecting the famous purple-blue horizon where sky and sea meet—a symbol of the uniqueness and richness of Japan’s landscape. The Japanese flag proudly appears as a closing element on the back of the collar.
Heritage and future merge in the new Mexico Home Kit. This jersey represents the energy and pride that will unite generations of fans during the upcoming World Cup. It celebrates the unwavering support of a nation that lives and breathes football, where every shared moment reflects the heart of Mexico. On the back of the collar, the phrase SOMOS MÉXICO appears as a symbol of unity and passion defining the Mexican spirit.
The Spain Home Kit for the 2026 World Cup comes with a clean finish and thin stripes, featuring a red base punctuated by repeated vertical yellow lines that visually recall the national flag and crest. The spirit of the nation is carried onto the field by players with the word ESPAÑA written on the back of the collar.
All adidas federation Home Kits will be available from tomorrow on the adidas website and at selected retailers.
