Borussia Dortmund’s new Home jersey pays tribute to the city’s history The details are inspired by industrial heritage

Borussia Dortmund and PUMA have unveiled the new Home jersey for the 2026/27 season. The kit will make its debut during the German club’s next home Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt. As tradition dictates, the jersey is yellow, but the surprising element is the near-total absence of black, which is only used for the logos and to outline the crew neck and armholes in combination with white.

Despite its clean design, the jersey hides an embossed pattern that pays tribute to the city’s heritage. The graphic motif is in fact a homage to the Minister Stein coal mine, which will close in 2027, and the Dortmunder U, one of Dortmund’s symbolic landmarks that celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

In addition to the new Home kit, Borussia Dortmund and PUMA also unveiled the new goalkeeper jersey. The latter stands out for its vibrant colors and a geometric pattern that delivers a futuristic impact, resembling a spiderweb in which the diamond shapes progressively increase in size from the collar down to the lower hem.
