Real Madrid bring back green with their new 2026/27 Away kit A throwback to the past for adidas

Real Madrid are wearing green once again. Fourteen years after its last appearance, adidas has brought the colour back for the club's new 2026/27 Away jersey. The shirt features a refined design highlighted by a subtle geometric pattern inspired by the club's initials, complemented by a modern collar finished with elegant off-white details. The colour palette also cleverly inverts the scheme of the Home jersey, where green, alongside pink, was used to accent the iconic camiseta blanca.

As mentioned, this is very much a throwback. adidas previously embraced the same dark green shade for Real Madrid's 2012/13 third kit, the final season of José Mourinho's first spell in charge of Los Blancos. At the time, the jersey broke with the club's traditional colour palette, which had long alternated between purple and black for its alternate kits. It quickly became a cult favourite among supporters, thanks in part to the unforgettable night it was worn at Old Trafford, when Real Madrid defeated Manchester United in the Champions League.

Now, the colour returns in a more contemporary interpretation. And it won't be limited to the football pitch: Real Madrid has also confirmed that the same design, adapted into a basketball jersey, will be worn by the club's basketball team.

The new Real Madrid Away jersey is now available on the club's official store and on the official adidas store.
