AnyForty x Forest Green Rovers FC capsule collection
The self-proclaimed "First Vegan Football Club” has now a refreshed style
December 18th, 2017
When a club proudly self-proclaims itself as “The First Vegan Football Club”, you know since the very beginning that it can be just a team like all others. The Forest Green Rovers Football Club it’s not only the first overtly vegan football club, but also the first one that could have a brand new stadium entirely made of wood. Eco-sustainability is the way. But the lads that are called The Green Devils (or The Green Army) are also very attentive to style, as testified by the latest collaboration with AnyForty, UK creatives collective.
To celebrate the promotion from the National League to the Football League Two - fourth tier of English football - the club defined by FIFA as “The greenest in the world” wanted to refresh its aesthetic, with a collection fit both for the stands and daily lifestyle. Artist Davy Le Chevance, aka SHORT, has first redesigned the Forest Green’s Green Devil and then realized a graphic with a representation of a celebrating Keanu Marsh-Brown, one of the last historic Forest Green Rovers FC season’s protagonists. The capsule collection is made up of tees, sweats and hoodies and it’s already available at the English club’s online store. Of course, everything is ethically sourced and created.
Eco-sustainability is the way.
