Napoli has registered the trademark McFratm Yet another masterclass by ADL, The Wolf of Fuorigrotta

When we were in Naples this weekend, we could truly feel the impact that Scott McTominay has had on the city. Naples is a city of the devoted—devoted to football and to their beloved team. But, as has happened in the recent past, the affection for a single player has ended up surpassing that for the club itself: flags, posters, giant prints, cardboard cutouts—everything portrays the incredible Scotsman, Scott McTominay.

Today it became official: SSC Napoli has decided to register the trademark McFratm, a brilliant idea by Aurelio De Laurentiis, who once again proves his sharp instincts as a savvy businessman. Although the news was only made public today, the registration request had already been filed by the club president back on May 16. At this point, it's more than likely that in the coming days, the club will launch a wide range of merchandise and memorabilia featuring the nickname of the hero of Napoli’s fourth league title.

Not only because of his performances on the pitch—dominating Serie A and scoring 12 goals—but also for what he represents off the field. McTominay has become a symbol for the entire city, a fan favorite, much like the excitement generated two years ago during the title win with Victor Osimhen. Even then, the Nigerian's iconic look—with his blond hair and protective mask—became one of the defining images of that long-awaited triumph.
