adidas partners with Audi F1 ahead of 2026 debut The three stripes rule the paddock
adidas strengthens its commitment to F1 and motorsport: the brand has in fact announced a multi-year partnership with the future Audi team. The German car manufacturer will make its debut in the circus starting in 2026, taking over from the current Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber with its own official team and a hybrid power unit developed in Germany. An ambitious project that will be branded with the three stripes as a new collection will be unveiled in 2026, combining cutting-edge technology with a trendy design. The official launch will take place in February 2026 on the eve of the new F1 season.
The collection will certainly include a fanwear line dedicated to motorsport enthusiasts, including apparel, footwear, and accessories. Made with the latest adidas technologies, the collection will introduce a new perspective on motorsport culture, bringing an innovative approach both inside and outside the paddock. adidas does not specify this in the press release, but it is reasonable to believe that this partnership will develop along the lines of what we have seen with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, with adidas also designing the race suits to be worn by the two official drivers, Niko Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto.
"This partnership brings together two iconic brands, the Four Rings and the Three Stripes, on a global stage and represents an exciting milestone in our journey as the future Audi F1 Team", said Jonathan Wheatley, Team Principal of the future Audi F1 team. The team will be based in three locations: Audi Formula Racing GmbH, founded specifically for the project, is developing the Power Unit in Neuburg an der Donau. Hinwil, in Switzerland, will be the base for the development of the race car as well as for race planning and management. Supporting both locations, a technical center is located in the heart of Motorsport Valley in the United Kingdom. Audi will not be the only team making its debut in 2026, as Cadillac will also be on the starting grid from next season.
