adidas has painted Milan blue A behind-the-scenes look at the exclusive event, featuring guest Gianluigi Buffon
Milano was awash in blue this weekend. On the occasion of the match against Norway, San Siro served as the backdrop for the debut in Italy of the new Home jersey of the National Team signed by adidas. The excitement for the new jersey and the National Team was kicked off by an exclusive event held on Saturday, November 15th, at the adidas Brand Center on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 24/26. A special moment for the winners of the adidas raffle, which offered the chance to meet an Italian football legend as a prize for purchasing the Azzurri jersey at the Brand Center.
The guest of honour for the evening was Gianluigi Buffon, the current head of the Italian national team and the player with the most appearances for Italy (176). The event opened with a talk moderated by Cronache di Spogliatoio: ahead of the World Cup playoffs, Buffon shared his thoughts on the current state of the national team and recounted anecdotes from his illustrious career. He also took part in a quiz about the highlights of his time with the Italian team.
At the end of the event, Buffon stayed for photos and autographs with attendees and greeted the many fans who had gathered outside the adidas Brand Center to celebrate the greatest goalkeeper of all time, signing autographs and greeting them. The luckiest fans also won a special version of the Trionda, the official ball of the 2026 World Cup which will take place this summer across the United States, Canada and Mexico, that Buffon threw to them after signing it.
