Juventus teams up with Progetto Happiness for mental health awareness The third edition of Stories of Strength featured a special documentary

Juventus has officially presented the third edition of Stories of Strength, a project designed to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage dialogue, and promote sharing. For this new chapter, the Bianconeri collaborated with Giuseppe Bertuccio D’Angelo, founder and face of Progetto Happiness, to create a documentary. A journey that led to the meeting of three fans who had shared their stories online and which turned into a narrative capable of transforming vulnerability into connection.

The first seed of this initiative was spread on October 10, 2025, when, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Juventus launched a call to action at the Allianz Stadium, which later evolved into a moment of full sharing within the Bianconeri community. Many fans spontaneously shared deeply personal stories, opening up as they would with a trusted friend or family member.

Three of these messages became the central theme of the documentary created by Juventus and Progetto Happiness. Giuseppe Bertuccio D’Angelo met Hani from Canada, Joha from Colombia, and Pietro in Italy. All of them faced challenges and found the courage to share and move forward. By visiting them and listening to their experiences firsthand, the goal was simple yet profound: to stand by them in difficult moments and share their resilience with millions of people who might be facing similar mental health challenges. All through a shared value: Juventus.

The documentary’s premiere took place at the Allianz Stadium in the presence of two special guests: Manuel Locatelli, captain of the men’s first team, and Martina Rosucci, captain of Juventus Women. At the end of the screening, we spoke with them to understand the emotions they felt watching the story of the fans’ journey unfold.

"It was very emotional and moving. Honestly, it was unexpected, an unexpected emotion. It made me understand even more what it means to be part of Juve. Representing these values and realizing that you can be someone so important for the fans is truly a source of pride and a powerful emotion,” explains Rosucci before telling us in detail how she, as captain, deals with difficulties in the dressing room. “I have to say that I’m always quite attentive to my teammates. I always like to think that the people who are part of Juve feel welcomed and at home. Even something as simple as asking ‘how are you?’ or starting to talk about something meaningless before eventually asking how someone really is. It’s not a question we receive very often, or if we do, it’s usually asked in a rushed way. But it’s actually a very important question.”

"I got emotional too,” adds Locatelli. “What I was telling the guys is that we have to be role models, but many times they are role models for us as well. These personalities give us strength because I know what Juve means to them. It was truly something beautiful and today it’s me and her thanking them because it was really beautiful and touching. I also use the technique of saying something unrelated to what someone is doing to understand what problems they may have. Many times I find myself putting an arm around one of the guys and walking together because I know what it means to play here. I know the challenges and maybe I can help them. But it’s also nice when they come looking for you without you having to go first.”
