Cult Kits have designed SCAA's Home jersey and Away jersey The Legacy collection was created as the result of an amazing collaboration
Cult Kits has unveiled a new collection in collaboration with SCAA (South China Athletic Association), a historical Hong Kong based football club with over 100 years of history, paying tribute to the iconic football shirts of the late 1990s. Accompanied by select lifestyle pieces, the brand—originally known for selling thousands of vintage football shirts—has now launched its first officially curated team collection, featuring home and away kits that reimagine classic designs from the 1997/98 season.
At the heart of the collection are two standout pieces: the home and away jerseys. Each design draws inspiration from the bold aesthetics of Asian football shirts during that era—vivid colours, striking patterns, prominent sponsors, and distinctive fits. With this release, Cult Kits has crafted a collection that honors the legacy of one of football’s sleeping giants.
The Cult Kits x SCAA Legacy collection includes eight pieces: home and away jerseys, club training tees, premium cotton tees in charcoal and salmon, socks, and a cap. It also features special-edition training bibs inspired by classic team gear from the period. Balancing respect for heritage with a forward-looking vision, the Legacy collection takes further cues from football subculture and its crossover with contemporary lifestyle fashion. It aims to reconnect with fans by appealing to a new generation while evoking the nostalgia of SCAA’s late ’90s and early 2000s era.
