Borussia Dortmund's striking new Away kit PUMA goes for electric yellow once again
PUMA has officially unveiled the new Away kit of Borussia Dortmund for the 2025/26 season. A surprising jersey for its combination of shapes and colors. An eye-catching mix of white, black, and electric yellow, the latter color having become a symbol of history and tradition for the German club. The base of the jersey is characterized by a play of shadows and shades where black and white alternate in a mix of geometric shapes. The disruptive element is represented by the fluorescent yellow inserts, added without real continuity and giving the jersey a touch of modernity.
The fluorescent yellow also colors the back with a large stripe on the rear as well as the area running from shoulder to shoulder, including the back of the crewneck collar, which instead appears in black on the front. Black is also used for the players’ names and numbers, the latter applied with a sharp-edged font characterized by a thin white silhouette running inside the number, faithfully following its shape. The only jarring note is the red used to color the Vodafone main sponsor logo, which had already given way to black so as not to spoil the Home jersey.
The final result is a jersey that fits perfectly into the history of stylistic experimentation that since 2012 PUMA and Borussia Dortmund have been carrying out with courage and vision. Jerseys that initially leave fans puzzled for their distance from the concept of tradition but that, over time, consistently meet the taste of supporters and enthusiasts, captivated by designs that are not born for football but to ensure that the jersey has its own dimension beyond the 90 minutes.
