Palermo celebrates its 125th anniversary with a special jersey PUMA unveils the club's new fourth kit

PUMA and Palermo have unveiled the new fourth kit celebrating the club’s 125 years of history. A jersey that draws inspiration from Palermo’s historic colors, pink and black, with reference to some of the most iconic white away shirts that have historically accompanied the club’s primary pink shirts. Black and gold embellish all the details and the iconic anniversary crest which recalls the shield shape of the club’s earliest logos.

As is customary with anniversary kits, this jersey expresses elegance thanks — for example — to golden details that adorn the collar and trims. At the same time it pays tribute to the history since the Club logo and the cat logo are embroidered, offering a high-quality retro touch that merges tradition and modernity. A collectible piece available in just 1,125 pieces and that will debut on the occasion of the upcoming league match against Pescara.

The tribute to the club’s history is not limited to the colors and design since the special numeric font also pays homage to the Liberty style (Art Nouveau), used by Palermo on shirt numbers at the end of the 1940s. Completing the jersey launch was a photographic shoot set in the Villino Florio that pays homage to the cultural legacy of Palermo’s Art Nouveau. Special protagonists include some faces who have made rosanero history, such as Amauri, Mario Santana and Cesare Bovo, alongside Primavera defender Pietro Avena and Palermo Women forward Martina Scarpinato, sealing the meeting between past and future.
