North Sails signs off the first collection for Ferrari Hypersail Technical sailing apparel and a Replica Collection for the Autumn–Winter 2026 season
The Ferrari Hypersail project has a new partner. It is North Sails. The collaboration between these two iconic brands has led to the creation of technical sailing apparel for the Ferrari Hypersail team. The Team Collection is an exclusive line of technical garments designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions and tested at sea to deliver top-level performance and reliability. The flagship piece is the Offshore Jacket, conceived for the most demanding ocean races, where sailors spend entire days in heavy-weather gear. For this reason GORE-TEX® Ocean Pro was used — the only membrane created specifically to withstand ocean conditions without sacrificing breathable comfort, offering maximum protection, waterproofing and lightness. The Inshore Race Smock was instead designed for fast, dynamic races: it provides waterproof and breathable protection in a lightweight, flexible and comfortable design.
The collaboration, however, is not limited to a race line, but also includes a Replica Collection, which reinterprets high-performance clothing for everyday use. The first collection, featuring the Prancing Horse, will be available globally for the Autumn–Winter 2026 season. Among the standout pieces is the GP Aero Jacket: the lightest racing jacket in the world, born from the fusion of cutting-edge technology and everyday practicality. Its aerodynamic design minimizes air resistance, while advanced construction ensures breathability and waterproofing without compromise. Also worth mentioning is the Ferrari Hypersail Men’s Softshell Jacket, made in a softshell fabric composed of 92% recycled polyester and 8% spandex. Waterproof, windproof, breathable and stretchy, it combines advanced functionality with a pared-back design, inspired by North Sails' technical sailing collection.
The involvement of North Sails, Southern Spars and Future Fibres goes beyond clothing. The three companies played a crucial role in creating the first Ferrari-branded sailing yacht, a state-of-the-art 30-metre ocean monohull equipped with foiling technology. Working closely with the Ferrari team, they contributed their design and engineering expertise to realize the revolutionary Engine Above Deck concept. North Sails will outfit the yacht with its advanced 3Di sail technology, including a double-skin mainsail with a reefing system, designed to deliver optimal power across a range of sailing conditions. Southern Spars and Future Fibres will supply a high-performance mast and standing rigging system, the result of the latest innovations derived from the most elite projects in modern sailing.
