Endrick and Saka star in the new Stone Island x New Balance capsule Innovation, performance and contemporary design
Stone Island and New Balance once again push the boundaries of sportswear, innovation, and contemporary culture with a new football-inspired capsule collection. The project unfolds across two distinct dimensions—on-pitch and off-pitch—and draws inspiration from the aesthetics of 1990s football culture, reinterpreted through advanced materials, technical treatments, and a contemporary design perspective. At the heart of the collection is a cohesive visual language built around natural tones and archival references that reflect the DNA of both brands. Fronting the campaign are two of football’s most exciting new-generation talents, Endrick and Bukayo Saka.
On the performance side, the standout piece is the Furon Elite FG v9, engineered for speed and featuring a lightweight one-piece mesh upper paired with an ultra-light soleplate. Its defining detail is a thermoreactive graphic pattern that changes colour according to temperature, a direct expression of Stone Island’s ongoing experimentation with material transformation. Alongside it, the Tekela Elite Low FG v5 focuses on control, combining an anatomical construction with grip-enhancing elements and a sophisticated colour treatment on the perimeter studs, blending translucent green with deep navy tones.
If the pitch serves as the collection’s starting point, it is within the off-pitch offering that the capsule fully embraces its fashion-forward identity. The new ABZORB 1890 merges heritage and innovation through a silhouette that revives the original 2002 sole unit, updated with full-length SBS ABZORB cushioning. The upper combines mesh with seamless synthetic overlays to create fluid, dynamic volumes, while a reflective detail on the toe adds a distinctly futuristic touch.
