Torino's new Third kit celebrate the special bond with River Plate Eterna amistad
Torino and Joma have officially presented the new Third kit for the 2025/26 season. A jersey with a special meaning that once again celebrates the unique bond between the granata and River Plate. The relationship between the two clubs is an "Eterna amistad", an eternal friendship, as reads the claim embroidered on the back of the collar. Between these two words appears the crest with the red diagonal stripe, the symbol of River Plate, inside which the rampant bull has been inlaid. The twinning between these two teams dates back to 1949 when River Plate, following the Superga tragedy, flew to Italy to play a symbolic friendly against a Torino representative team. The proceeds from that match were donated to charity for the families of the victims.
Both clubs have repeatedly celebrated their historic twinning on their playing shirts over the years, and this new creation from Joma fits perfectly into that tradition. It is an anthracite gray jersey whose main detail is a black band drawn diagonally across the front that recalls the famous red sash of River Plate, a distinctive feature that, according to the official version provided by the Argentine club, was applied for the first time in 1901 so that River could distinguish itself from all the other teams that used plain white shirts. The choice of color, anthracite, is also a tribute to River Plate as it is one of the colors most used by the Argentine side for third kits.
Two other high-impact aesthetic details catch the eye. The first is the geometric pattern that runs across the entire jersey with a glossy effect that breaks up the solid color while at the same time enhancing it. A play of shapes and tones that enlivens the shirt without erasing that dark patina that makes it special. The second detail concerns the bronze — the tone used to color the details, including the rampant bull logo applied in silicone, and to provide a final touch of elegance to a jersey that celebrates a friendship that knows no borders.
