Liverpool unveil retro-inspired 2026/27 Home jersey An iconic kit revisited by adidas
Liverpool and adidas have chosen to revisit one of the great aesthetic classics in the Reds’ history for the new 2026/27 Home jersey. The shirt is in fact a tribute to the kit Liverpool wore between 1989 and 1991, fondly remembered by supporters both for its sporting achievements — with Liverpool winning their 18th league title in 1990 while wearing it — and for its distinctive design.
The jersey was characterised by a geometric pattern featuring irregular white inserts that broke up the traditional all-red look. A variation on the classic theme that adidas has brought back for the 2026/27 season, recreating the exact same pattern while giving it a more modern twist. White has also been used for all the shirt’s details, from the logos and three stripes to the crew-neck collar. The goalkeeper jersey features the same graphic design as well, this time reproduced on a green base.
Alongside the jersey, which will be paired with red shorts and socks, Liverpool have also unveiled the club’s new font for the 2026/27 season. It continues the work started last season, when the Reds developed a new visual identity inspired by elements of the Liver bird, the symbol of the city.
Liverpool’s new 2026/27 Home kit is available to buy from the official adidas store and the club’s official store.
