Nike revisits Inter's ’90s Heritage for the new Third kit Inspired by the club’s first Nike jersey
Inter have officially unveiled their Third kit for the 2026/27 season. Designed once again by Nike, the jersey looks back through the brand’s archives to revisit one of the first designs created for the Nerazzurri. The reference is Inter’s Third jersey from the 1998/99 season, the club’s first-ever kit by Nike. An instantly recognisable piece of Inter history, reworked through a new colour palette and contemporary design codes.
The jersey features an anthracite grey base, enriched by a tonal jacquard pattern and a wide black horizontal band running across the chest, cut through by a blue stripe. Yellow accents appear across the Nike Swoosh, Inter crest, names and numbers, creating a sharp contrast with the darker palette. The collar is finished with a blue trim that echoes the stripe across the chest, while the Inner Pride detail features the word “INTER”, reinterpreted through a graphic inspired by the visual language of the ’90s.
The biggest difference from the original design is the reversal of the main colours. The 1998/99 version featured a blue base, while its most distinctive element was the black chest band, a detail that has also been carried over into the new interpretation. The result is a bold reworking of a memorable chapter in Inter’s history, bringing a distinctly ’90s reference into the present. The kit will make its on-pitch debut when Inter face Udinese.
Inter’s new 2026/27 Third kit is available from today at store.inter.it, nike.com, at the Inter Stores in San Babila, Castello and San Siro, and at Nike Stores.
