PUMA's new Serie A ball pays tribute to Italian design
Renzo Piano's vision is the inspiration
June 5th, 2025
The new Serie A season is beginning to take shape. PUMA and Lega Serie A have unveiled the official match ball for the 2025/26 season. Called the PUMA Orbita Serie A, it features green and blue accents on a white background, with panels that echo the irregular shapes seen on the ball that PUMA designed for the upcoming Premier League season.
Every colour and graphic detail has been chosen to celebrate Italian design. Drawing inspiration from the principles of contemporary Italian architecture, particularly Renzo Piano's vision, the design blends form and function to adapt perfectly to its surroundings. Every detail has been crafted to enhance player performance and provide viewers with a visually engaging experience. The design is an integral part of the performance, not just a decorative element.
Cutting-edge technology was used to create an optimal ball that maintains its shape and reduces water absorption, thanks to the addition of POE foam to enhance touch sensitivity, providing a firmer feel and better bounce consistency. Moreover, the 1.2 mm 3D-textured PU surface improves aerodynamics and makes the ball more resistant to abrasion and wear, increasing its durability. The ball is also equipped with a rubber bladder and a PAL (PUMA Air Lock) valve for optimal air retention and bounce. In addition to being the official match ball of Serie A Enilive, the PUMA Orbita Serie A will also be used in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, EA SPORTS FC Supercup, and Primavera 1 competitions.
The PUMA Orbita Serie A Enilive 2025/2026 match ball is available on PUMA.com and at selected retailers.
