nss sports has taken over New York A report on the launch of Le Vêtements de Football – The Golden Age of Football Jerseys
The official launch of nss sports' new book, Le Vêtements de Football – The Golden Age of Football Jerseys, took place in New York. Three days of events and talks explored the fusion between football and fashion. A large community of football enthusiasts and collectors gathered to celebrate the golden age of football jerseys and discuss their cultural impact.
Book presentation - Million Goods
The first event took place on Wednesday, July 9th, with the official presentation of Le Vêtements de Football – The Golden Age of Football Jerseys at Million Goods, in the heart of Brooklyn. For the first time, guests had the chance to explore the 176 pages of the book, enriched by contributions from 3 football legends, designers, creatives, the stars of the 2025 Club World Cup and the 2026 World Cup, and most of all the cover, strictly golden.
The book launch was followed by a talk on football’s golden age featuring Kyle Martino, a key figure in the growth of football within American street culture, and Cameron Jones of Soccertes. After the talk, a DJ set by FIFI kept the atmosphere alive. We asked the many guests in attendance what their first memory associated with the color gold was. We posed the same question to Troy Deeney, and the former Watford striker gave us two answers: Ronaldinho’s Barcelona and the R9 Mercurials.
Book presentation - Classic Football Shirts
The second event was held at the official Classic Football Shirts store in New York. Guests included Matthew Dale, founder of CFS, and Florencia Galarza – a key figure at the intersection of football and fashion in New York and co-founder of Kith FC.
The choice of Classic Football Shirts was no coincidence: it’s the number one global destination for retro jersey lovers. Most notably, in Le Vêtements de Football – The Golden Age of Football Jerseys, you’ll find our interview with Doug Bierton, co-founder of Classic Football Shirts, along with our photo reportage from their Manchester headquarters.
After party - Regina's Grocery
After the talk, a special event took place at Regina’s Grocery: an after-party to further dive into football, jerseys, fashion, and the intersection of all three. The setting was a unique and evocative location where Italian tradition blends with New York’s vibrant multiculturalism.
The evening held a special surprise: among the guests was Colm Dillane, aka KidSuper, the subject of one of the stories told in our book Le Vêtements de Football – The Golden Age of Football Jerseys. We interviewed him, even though we already knew those were some of his favorite pages.
The New York's events marked only the first stop of a world tour that will continue throughout 2025 and 2026.
