Sweet Soccer brought street football culture to the beaches of Cagliari The Cisalfa Sport and nss sports tour took over Coco Beach with footvolley, music and community
After Milan and Genoa, Sweet Soccer has landed on the beaches of Sardinia. The project dedicated to street football culture by Cisalfa Sport and nss sports stopped at Coco Beach in Cagliari over the weekend, transforming one of the city's most scenic locations into a seaside playground where technique, entertainment and community came together once again. The choice of the Sardinian capital comes at an important moment for Cisalfa Sport, which on June 9 opened its new store in Elmas, just outside Cagliari. Spanning more than 2,250 square metres of retail space, it is now the brand's largest store in Sardinia in terms of both size and product offering, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening its presence across the region.
For the Sardinian stop, the format adapted to its surroundings, featuring a 2v2 footvolley tournament. On the sand of Coco Beach, players competed in a series of intense matches where ball control, coordination and creativity made all the difference. It was a different way of experiencing football, yet one that perfectly embodied the spirit of Sweet Soccer: celebrating technical ability, improvisation and the playful essence that has always defined street football.
As with every stop on the tour, however, competition was only part of the experience. Once the tournament came to an end, the court gave way to music as a DJ set soundtracked the sunset, turning the beach into a meeting point for players, friends and football enthusiasts alike. With drinks and snacks provided by Peroni and Lay's, the post-match gathering became an opportunity to connect, share stories and enjoy the collective spirit that makes football a universal language. This is what Sweet Soccer is all about: bringing football back to its roots, when all you needed was a ball, a space to play and the desire to be together. The project continues to present football as a cultural phenomenon before a sporting one, bringing people together through authentic, spontaneous experiences.
The journey, however, is far from over. Following its stop in Cagliari, Sweet Soccer will return in September with a new event in Catanzaro, another city that reflects Cisalfa Sport's continued growth across Italy. At the end of April, the company opened a new store at Parco Commerciale Le Fontane, its second in the province of Catanzaro and fourth in the Calabria region. Covering more than 1,270 square metres, the new location further strengthens the brand's presence in Southern Italy while reinforcing its nationwide expansion strategy. In this context, Sweet Soccer continues to support Cisalfa Sport's growth by bringing not only football events to cities across the country, but also opportunities to build genuine connections through sport, culture and community.
