Louis Vuitton has created a trophy trunk for the Monza Grand Prix as well A new chapter that brings together fashion and motorsport

Louis Vuitton, official partner maison of Formula 1, is pleased to present the exclusive Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk created for the Italian Grand Prix, held in Monza from September 5 to 7. The Louis Vuitton logo, evoking the idea of speed, appeared graphically on the Monza track signage, blending perfectly with the circuit’s iconic style. But the connection between Formula 1 and Louis Vuitton is further strengthened by the new Trophy Trunk, covered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas and decorated with the letter "V" for "Victory" and "Vuitton," in Monza’s characteristic colors—green, white, and red—together with the iconic black-and-white Damier motif, recalling the colors of Formula 1 and the checkered flag at the finish line.

The Trophy Trunk, which ended up in the hands of Max Verstappen, is handcrafted in the maison’s historic atelier in Asnières, France. It was in this very place that Georges Vuitton, son of Louis Vuitton, designed the first automobile trunks in 1897. Georges immediately foresaw the growing popularity of cars and travel, creating a highly resistant material called Vuittonite to replace leather, ensuring the trunks could withstand weather conditions and long journeys. This invention later evolved into the iconic Louis Vuitton canvas. Over the next 125 years, the maison remained firmly connected to automotive culture.
