Everyone is reselling CR7’s Mercurial boots on Vinted A special model created for the 2026 World Cup
To celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo's sixth FIFA World Cup appearance, Nike has unveiled a new edition of the Mercurial Superfly. The boot pays tribute to CR7's legacy and was revealed just hours after the Portuguese star's brace against Uzbekistan, a performance that made Cristiano Ronaldo the first player in FIFA World Cup history to score at least one goal in six different editions of the tournament: 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and, of course, 2026. A special release that sold out almost immediately and has since become one of the most sought-after items on Vinted.
The most eye-catching feature of the boot is, unsurprisingly, its colorway. At a time when pink dominates the football boot landscape, Nike has opted for the elegance of gold, covering the entire boot—from the upper to the soleplate—in the metallic shade. The only exceptions are a handful of details, including the white Swoosh, featured both in its oversized version near the toe box and in a smaller version on the medial side, where Ronaldo's signature also appears in a subtle tonal finish. The CR7 branding on the upper is also white, while the insole features the word GOAT printed in white.
On Nike's official website, the boots are listed at $300, but they are currently unavailable after selling out following their official drop on June 24. Unsurprisingly, demand has quickly shifted to the secondary market, particularly on Vinted, where the Nike Mercurial Superfly RGN SE—the boot's official name—is currently available for between €400 and €500, with prices expected to climb even higher over the coming days.
The trend is likely to continue, as Nike is already preparing a second release. On June 27, the brand will unveil another Cristiano Ronaldo signature boot, the Gold Scorpion Mercurial Superfly. Once again, gold takes center stage, paired with a white upper and red accents that highlight the Swoosh. A limited-edition release that will only be available in selected markets, it is destined to become another collector's item—one that will almost certainly sell out before reappearing on Vinted at a premium.
