FIFA has officially confirmed all the kits that will be worn throughout the 72 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. A vast array of colour combinations that, among hundreds of aesthetic solutions, has inevitably resulted in 18 kits being left unused across the Home, Away and Third categories. Jerseys that, potentially, we may never see on the pitch during the tournament.
Home jersey
The most surprising case concerns Uzbekistan (7Saber), which, on the occasion of its historic first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup, will not wear its blue Home jersey in matches against Colombia, Portugal and Congo. The same scenario will also apply to Ghana (PUMA), which will not wear its white Home jersey and will instead use only its yellow Away kit, paired with black shorts and socks for the matches against England and Croatia.
Third jersey
In the Third jersey category, meanwhile, there are four kits in total that will not make an appearance on the pitch during the group stage. Specifically, these are Marathon's jersey for Ecuador, JAKO's design for Iraq, Saeta's creation for Haiti, and Kelme's jersey for Jordan.
Away jersey
Unsurprisingly, Away jerseys dominate this particular scenario. One of the most notable absences will be adidas' highly acclaimed design for Curaçao. Staying with the Three Stripes, the Away jerseys of Belgium, South Africa and Japan will also not be seen during the group stage. As for Nike, the only two Away kits that will not be used in the opening phase of the tournament are those of Australia and the Netherlands. PUMA's list is considerably longer, featuring Austria, Senegal, Portugal and Côte d'Ivoire. Completing the picture are RD Congo (Umbro) and Iran (Majid).
