Exploring the world of Como Women At the Bvlgari Hotel in London for the presentation of the new Nike jerseys
On July 31st, we were invited to London for the presentation of the new home and away kits designed by Nike for the 2025/26 Como Women season. The invitation came from Mercury/13, the international investment group focused exclusively on women's football clubs. We expected many things, but certainly not such a truly unique experience – something never seen before in the world of football kit releases. In hindsight, we should have expected it, given the obsessive attention to detail evident from the invitation alone: the presentation (which actually consisted of 1-to-1 appointments with 10 selected international media outlets) was held at the Bvlgari Hotel in London, in Knightsbridge.
Everything spoke of luxury and tailor-made during our individual meeting: from the delivery of the jersey inside a customized garment bag, to the opportunity to meet two seamstresses for garment personalization. One took care of the fitting, while the other was available to embroider a custom word or initials on the sleeve, with various typefaces to choose from. But perhaps the most emblematic element of the welcome was the final touch, perfectly summing up the essence of Como Women’s branding and, of course, Mercury/13 — whose DNA was clearly reflected in this special presentation: thanks to a collaboration with Avery Dennison, 10 limited-edition jerseys were created for the occasion, each featuring a special badge that, when scanned, links to an annual membership granting privileged pitchside access to Como Women’s home matches.
