Also Canada has released their Home and Away jerseys for the World Cup Super patriotic, just like those of the USMNT
A few hours after the United States national team, the Canadian national team also released their new jerseys for the 2026 World Cup. It is obviously no coincidence that both Nike-sponsored host nations have released their tournament kits early; at the same time, Mexico, the third host nation, sponsored by adidas, had already released its Home jersey months ago. As expected, the Home version is red, featuring an all-over maple leaf on the front of the shirt and, symmetrically, also on the back. While the Home jersey takes inspiration from the country's iconic symbol, the Away jersey does the same by featuring the maple leaf on the front but giving it a completely different look: the leaves appear frozen, referencing Canada's landscapes, often snow-covered or icy.
There were high expectations surrounding the Canadian national team jerseys: not so much because it is one of the three host countries, but rather because at the 2022 World Cup, Canada was the only national team that had not released custom-designed kits. We can say that Canada did not disappoint expectations, especially considering that the federation has often favored overall minimal designs, including the beautiful pinstripe seen on the 2024 Away jersey. The only similarity with previous kits can be found in the goalkeeper jersey, which features a pattern very similar to previous seasons.
“There is real pride in representing Canada. Our players understand the moment ahead of us, including a home World Cup and an entire country behind us,” said the head coach of the Canadian men’s national team, Jesse Marsch. “When we wear this jersey, we represent every place and community that helped build The People’s Team. We take this responsibility very seriously.”
