adidas x Pogba
Fashion and hip hop culture blend in first PP's football collection
January 17th, 2017
Nss sports is telling you this for a certain time now: football, fashion and hip-hop culture are bonding towards a synergy that will conquer all the streets of the world. And to confirm this trend, we have adidas that after the Red Limit Pack, which signed the first step between the stadium and the street, is takings another move towards this new trend. And it does with a boom, or better a Pogboom, presenting the new exclusive adidas x Pogba capsule collection, with football and street apparel, made in close partnership with the french champion.
In fact, Pogba never hide the idea of being more than just a football player, making himself a worldwide style icon. Pogba chose to work with adidas, which gave him great freedom about the realization of his personal trademark. “I’ve accepted to work with adidas because I’ve understood that I would’ve been able to express my creativity also in a different way than football”, said the French midfielder during the presentation of his new collection. “I wanted to play at a higher level and that’s the first step to do it”.
The core of Pogba’s capsule is the ACE 17+ PURECONTROL, made with black and gold skin. On the shoes, the writing “Pogboom” and the brand new “PP” logo, which made his debut alongside the new Pogba’s emoji last weekend. ACE 17+ are also available in street and cage versions, confirming this new all-in trend by adidas when it comes to sports apparel. The collection is completed by t-shirt, snapback, bag, sweatshirt, trousers and black bomber.
The hip-hop spirit of this capsule is not just here because, among other things, the Three Stripes also made a partnership with MHD, a young French rapper, very close to Pogba. He made a brand new song, called “Never”, just for Pogba’s collection’s launch. Another proof, if we need it, of the street trans that’s conquering the football world.
