A clean and refined aesthetic to to showcase at the upcoming European Championships

The partnership between hummel and the Danish national football team presents another intriguing chapter with the launch of the new home jersey for the women's team. Denmark is one of the 16 national teams that will be competing at the European Championships in Switzerland from July 2nd to 27th this summer. Following a trend seen in the past, clothing brands are taking women's international football tournaments seriously by creating specific kits, often different from those worn by the men's national team. And so, for this occasion, hummel has decided to create a special collection that pays homage to Danish design, football culture, and national pride.
The result is a red home jersey with white details, as tradition dictates, in which different shades and patterns are mixed. The top of the jersey is characterized by a solid dark red band that runs from one sleeve to the other. The iconic white chevrons, hummel's symbol, have been placed on the shoulders. For the collar, a polo style with two red bars of different sizes and the same shade as the band was chosen to break up the white, the primary color of the collar. The V-neck is filled with a small white triangle of the same knurled pattern as the collar, with the two red bars interrupting the primary color. To complete this area, the inside of the jersey features the white text, "For Danmark".
The most interesting style exercise concerns the part of the jersey that extends below this horizontal band. It is a pattern of vertical bars in which two shades of red alternate, a tone-on-tone game in which the slightly darker shade breaks up the lighter base. As if it were an optical illusion, the result of a play of lights that can deceive a distracted observer, but actually enhances a jersey with a classic style without overdoing it. It is not a coincidence. It is a simple and elegant solution, borrowed from the world of design: no unnecessary embellishments, no distractions, just a clean and refined aesthetic to be proudly worn on the football field in Denmark's attempt to win their first European Championship in the history of the women's national team.
