Australia is expected to steal the spotlight at the 2026 Paralympics Thanks to a refined look designed by R.M.Williams
Everything is set for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games. The opening ceremony will take place on March 6 at the Arena di Verona, the same venue that hosted the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games. A connection designed to create continuity ahead of the competitions, which will run until March 15 and will be divided across three locations, replicating the model of the widespread Olympics: in Milan, at the Santa Giulia Arena, the para ice hockey tournament will be held; Cortina will host the competitions for para alpine skiing, para snowboard, and wheelchair curling; while Tesero will stage the events for para biathlon and para cross-country skiing.

As mentioned, however, the first chapter of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games will be the opening ceremony, where in most cases we will once again see the collections created by brands for the Olympic Games. That said, there will still be some new additions. The most significant involves Australia, with a striking look designed by the Australian brand R.M.Williams, which has partnered with Paralympics Australia since Vancouver 2010. The most eye-catching details are undoubtedly the wide-brim felt hat with a small leather band and a 100% merino knitted scarf. Two elements that complete a simple yet elegant look: green wool sweaters paired with a white shirt and brown trousers, matched with either a sport jacket or a long overcoat.
The collection also features an artistic surprise inside the jackets: "The Journey," a work by Rheanna Lotter. The creation symbolizes the path of Paralympic athletes on their way to the Games, representing Australia’s states and territories through eight circles, their connection through tracks, and the challenges overcome through the depiction of boomerangs.
