Football jerseys become the subject of an art exhibition thanks to the collaboration between Brondby and ARKEN, a contemporary art museum based in Copenhagen. Specifically, it is a POP-UP exhibition where 150 jerseys related to the history of the Danish club were displayed: iconic jerseys, reinterpretations of official jerseys, and limited edition products. Today, the club is sponsored by hummel, a brand closely linked to Danish football, but the walls of ARKEN also feature home jerseys, away kits, and goalkeeper jerseys signed by previous technical sponsors such as Reebok and adidas.

The exhibition also features a series of photographic portraits of Brondby players taken by local children and young people from Brøndby Strand, a suburb of Copenhagen where the club is based, in collaboration with the ONG Turning Tables. These images are mixed within a carefully planned itinerary to experience firsthand how the evolution of football jerseys has been a reflection of their time. The reasons behind Brondby and ARKEN's unique collaboration in the sports world, which combines football and art, are summed up in a statement on the official website: "A football jersey is much more than a player’s uniform. It is a symbol of community, club identity, and a mirror of society".

Through the ARKEN museum's perspective, football is seen as a way to unite the community and link it to the world of art. It's a wise decision: if you consider it, the jerseys worn during matches are the most significant connection among fans, always capable of igniting the curiosity of enthusiasts. This effect is amplified when situated organically in a setting that is highly regarded for its intellectual value, like a modern art gallery, which stands in stark contrast to a football grounds.
