A document from 1275 inspired Ajax's new Third kit A beige jersey with blue and red details

Ajax and adidas have officially unveiled the new Third kit of the Lancers. A jersey that, just like the Home jersey, is part of the celebrations for the 750th anniversary of the founding of the city of Amsterdam. In this specific case, the starting point was a document — the oldest official piece of paper that refers to Amsterdam — namely the Toll Privilege dated October 27, 1275, which Count Floris V granted to the residents of what was then Amsteldam, allowing them to navigate for free and exempting them from paying any tolls for transporting their goods. It was a form of compensation for the damages caused by his troops.

In terms of color scheme, the reference to the document is represented by the beige shade that colors the jersey, a base upon which dark red and blue details are developed. This shade has been used to design the Teamgeist pattern, while blue has been used for the sponsors and as the main color of the armholes. The collar is a polo style with a single-button closure. The Third kit also features the historic logo that depicts the face of Ajax Telamon, represented here using the same red and blue tones used in the detailing.

Alongside the Third kit, the streetwear collection Terrace Icons was also presented, featuring a red shirt with fine horizontal beige stripes and a jumpsuit branded with the Trefoil that echoes the beige and red of the jersey in a split outfit enriched by the detail of the logo in its original colors.
