Football players and photos portraying them in underwear is a winning combination ever since David Beckham took over the Calvin Klein billboards, then there were the Italian nationals in Mario Testino's lookbook for Dolce&Gabbana, or more recently Romelu Lukaku in CK. Now it's the turn of one of the most charismatic football players at the moment and designated sex symbol in the long tradition of Italian defenders with long hair and headband, Riccardo Calafiori, just announced as the first ambassador for adidas' underwear line. The Italian defender was chosen for his ability to authentically express himself both on and off the pitch, the ideal spokesperson to promote the new collection that celebrates the confidence and comfort that comes from the sports world.
The Active Flex collection represents a capsule collection with designs specifically made to accompany athletes in their movements, ensuring excellent fit and comfort even outside of the sports context. On the occasion of the launch, Calafiori was shown in a new light, capturing moments of everyday life that go beyond football, from post-match relaxation in the locker room to simple household activities like laundry. Just another moment in which the Arsenal defender has proven to be much cooler than the average person, with an approach that aims to show how adidas underwear can be a source of confidence in any situations.
Riccardo Calafiori shared his emotions about this new role: "I am incredibly excited to be the first ambassador for adidas underwear. For me, football is not just a job, but a true passion. Outside of the field, I pay attention to style and love to express myself authentically. adidas underwear provides me with the energy and comfort I need to face the day with greater confidence." The Active Flex collection consists of three key pieces for men, made of soft stretch cotton with breathable properties, anti-friction construction, and four-way stretch that ensures freshness and comfort all day long. The design stands out for the briefs and boxers, characterized by the iconic adidas three stripes adorning the outer side and a simple elastic waistband with the brand's logo.
