Ferrari goes blue for the Monza Grand Prix It also features a special livery dedicated to Niki Lauda

The most important moment of the F1 season has arrived for Ferrari, namely the Monza Grand Prix. For the occasion, in Maranello they have designed a special livery. Specifically, it is a livery that recalls the 50th anniversary of the Drivers’ World Championship won by Niki Lauda at the wheel of the Ferrari 312 T. The shade of red will be the same as the 1975 car and the famous white longitudinal stripes on the bodywork will not be missing, as well as the drivers’ names written in italics.

The race numbers will also be coordinated, in black, enclosed in a white number plate box. The rear wing will be metallic silver, recalling the aluminum that was used at the time, before Formula 1 adopted carbon fiber. The engine cover of the SF-25 will of course be white, like Lauda’s car, and the wheels will feature a gold design inspired by the rims of that era.

The unveiling of the special livery comes shortly after the presentation of the team wear that will be worn by Ferrari drivers and all mechanics at the Monza Grand Prix. It is designed by PUMA and includes a blue shirt with a white crewneck collar, a color also used on the armholes, paired with a red mechanic jacket with white details and a blue cap. On these uniforms, the rectangular logo of the company returns instead of the shield, which will only appear on the cars. Finally, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will have dedicated suits, shoes, and helmets, recalling the style and colors of that era.

The PUMA x Ferrari Replica Monza Limited Edition collection is also a celebration of the 20 years of partnership between the German brand and the Prancing Horse. An anniversary that was celebrated on the streets of Milan with a Ferrari red tram that fans could board with a vintage-style ticket. A fully immersive experience to tell the story of Niki Lauda and celebrate the feats of a champion who made F1 history.
