The first ever Ferrari sailboat is not red A bold new livery
Ferrari has officially unveiled the livery of Hypersail, the sailing yacht developed under the visionary leadership of Giovanni Soldini. The most striking detail is the absence of Ferrari’s iconic red: black takes center stage, enhanced by yellow accents that highlight the hull—an element that nods to Ferrari’s heritage, as yellow was originally chosen by founder Enzo Ferrari as a tribute to the city of Modena.
Ferrari Hypersail is a 100-foot full-foiling monohull, born from the fusion of Ferrari Design Studio’s aesthetics and the cutting-edge technology of offshore sailing. Designed by French naval architect Guillaume Verdier, the yacht features a unique innovation: a foil connected to the canting keel. The remaining support points of the full-foiling system include a rudder foil and two lateral foils operating alternately.
This project not only marks a new chapter in Ferrari’s sporting history but also embodies a deep connection between design, innovation, and performance. Ferrari has chosen to showcase this synergy and the philosophy behind one of its most ambitious projects at its Flagship Store in Milan, located at Via G. Berchet 2. The exhibition, open from April 22 throughout Design Week, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore up close the creative process behind the creation of the first sailing yacht to bear the Prancing Horse emblem.
