Nike unveiled its "X2" collection in Milan Available at the newsstand in Piazzale Lavater

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Nike selected seven of its participating federations (Canada, England, France, the Netherlands, Nigeria, South Korea, and the United States) and paired each of them with seven communities and brands from its roster, all of which have long been committed to blending lifestyle and football.

For the Canadian national team, Nike teamed up with NOCTA to create Les Rouges by NOCTA, a collection paying tribute to the Canadian Women & Sport organization. For England, the collaboration with Palace resulted in The Three Lions by Palace, supporting Football Beyond Borders. For France, Jacquemus reinterpreted the identity of Les Bleus with Les Bleus by Jacquemus, celebrating the work of Sport dans la Ville. For the Dutch national team, Patta designed Oranje by Patta in honor of Favela Street, while in Nigeria, artist Slawn created The Super Eagles by Slawn, dedicated to the Bravehearts Ladies Foundation. For South Korea, PEACEMINUSONE developed The Tigers of Asia by PEACEMINUSONE in support of We Meet Up, while in the United States, the collaboration with V.A.A. gave rise to The Stars & Stripes by V.A.A., benefiting Coalitions for Sport Equity.

These collections also made their way to Italy, where Nike launched them through a temporary newsstand set up in Piazzale Lavater, Milan.

X2: What Is It?

The X2 collections offer an exclusive interpretation of Nike's 2026 federation kits and naturally sit at the intersection of football and fashion. Each project stems from the identity of a specific federation and is then reimagined through the vision of designers, artists, and the communities that experience football every day. To develop the collections, Nike enlisted creatives from around the world, inviting them to collaborate with their respective national teams to reinterpret some of the game's most iconic elements. The goal was to capture the energy and cultural identity of each country and translate them into a contemporary language.

At the heart of X2 is also a social component. For each collaboration, Nike identified a local organization dedicated to youth sports, making tangible investments in its activities and supporting its mission through a long-term commitment aimed at fostering the growth and development of future generations of athletes.
