adidas takes the Hybrid Hub to the heart of Rome Taking over the Stadio dei Marmi

Last night, one of the most iconic sporting venues in Rome, the Stadio dei Marmi, changed its identity for the evening to become the adidas Hybrid Hub Rome. A takeover dedicated to the world of hybrid training and its community which, thanks to a carefully designed play of lights, transformed a familiar setting into an entirely new environment, suspended somewhere between performance and atmosphere.

It is not just about the workout. Hybrid training is built around the idea of breaking down the boundaries between different disciplines, bringing together running, strength and a range of physical skills. This was the idea behind adidas’ evening, which brought together more than 200 participants, including athletes, community members, KOLs and media, ahead of the competition weekend in Rome. The result was an experience built around one clear concept: Go Full Hybrid.

Led by adidas athletes including Camilla Massa and Eugenio Bianchi, participants took on a circuit combining running and strength, putting power, technique and endurance to the test. At the centre of the experience were the new adidas Adizero Dropset Pro, put through their paces across the different stages of the workout.

It is an approach that says a lot about how adidas is framing the idea of the Hybrid Athlete. There is no single quality to focus on, nor one discipline to belong to. Performance becomes something more fluid, built around the ability to move from one stimulus to the next and constantly adapt. At the Hybrid Hub, this principle was also translated into the Three Stripe Service, an experience that follows the athlete from trying on and testing the shoe through to the workout and recovery.

The workout, however, is only part of the story. The Hybrid Hub Rome also put the people shaping this scene at the centre of the experience, bringing together local hybrid training communities, adidas athletes and participants. Because hybrid training is not simply a way of working out. It is also a different way of experiencing sport: running together, training together, sharing the same spaces and, inevitably, building a community around it.

adidas chose to carry that energy beyond the final exercise. Once the workout was over, the Stadio dei Marmi gave way to the more social side of the evening, with an after party and DJ set on the Terrazza Imperiale. From running to strength, from performance to recovery, and finally to music and socialising. Go Full Hybrid became more than a claim for one night in Rome: it became a way of portraying a sporting ecosystem in which training and coming together are increasingly part of the same experience.
