KidSuper designed the PUMA kits for the Club World Cup
Each of them is a masterpiece, and we can’t wait to see them worn on the pitch
June 10th, 2025
Only four days remain until the start of the Club World Cup, a competition that will be played exclusively in the United States: a true appetizer for the World Cup in North America scheduled for the summer of 2026. While many teams will take the field wearing kits already released for the upcoming season, PUMA is so far the only brand to have unveiled special editions designed specifically for the tournament: we’re talking about the kits of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Palmeiras, Mamelodi Sundowns, Rayados, Al Hilal and Salzburg. All bear the signature of KidSuper, a US-based brand founded by the eponymous designer — a perfect choice for an event taking place in the States.
The kit designs fully reflect KidSuper’s visual identity, all united by a pronounced paintbrush effect: a trend already seen on the 2024/25 Paris Saint-Germain kit that could establish itself as one of the most recognizable stylistic trends of the moment. KidSuper designed both the Home and Goalkeeper versions for each club, totaling 14 kits. The special feature? The two versions differ only in color schemes, patterns, and graphic details: floral for Palmeiras, or featuring a stylized moon on Al Hilal’s kit.
This special edition collection, created in collaboration with KidSuper, represents a breath of fresh air, especially for teams like Borussia Dortmund, which have been offering rather flat designs for several seasons. The US-based designer has introduced bold color palettes and visual concepts that are already destined to become instant classics. A special mention goes to the kit of the South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, which features a paintbrush design with the Pretoria skyline in the background. An original idea, paired with a commercial sponsor font — Ubuntu-Botho S&E — reminiscent of fonts from amateur leagues, but which surprisingly works well in this context.
