Drake presents a dedicated Chelsea capsule October's Very Own is increasingly tied to sports
Chelsea and October's Very Own have launched a capsule collection in which Drake's brand pays tribute to and enhances the history of the Blues. The line includes a series of garments where the aesthetic elements of the London club and OVO merge, alternate, and intertwine. The standout piece is undoubtedly the white and blue varsity jacket featuring two prominent logos: a reworked Chelsea crest with the silhouette of a red lion overlaying the OVO acronym, and a blue owl with gold details accompanied by the phrase "Chelsea's Very Own." Both the acronym and the full phrase appear on the back panel of the jacket, while the sleeves are decorated with a series of patches.
The collection also features a zip-up tracksuit available in black and white, both with blue detailing. The hoodies come in two colors—black and blue—both featuring the white OVO acronym on the chest, accompanied by the phrase in gold "Chelsea Football Club." On the back, the OVO logo returns, this time paired with the phrase "Chelsea's Very Own," also in gold. Rounding out the line are longsleeve shirts, t-shirts, a rugby sweatshirt, and a cap.
This capsule confirms the increasingly strong bond between October's Very Own and the world of sports. It began in 2022, when the logo appeared on Barcelona’s jerseys as main sponsor during the El Clásico. More recently, OVO has collaborated with F1 through a Red Bull partnership, with hockey via a collection dedicated to Wayne Gretzky and all Canadian NHL teams, a line designed for NFL teams, a collab with the WNBA, and finally, a special release for the UFC. Now comes the latest step with Chelsea, marking an entry into the Premier League and a connection with the club that won the first-ever Club World Cup.
