Running the Milano21 together with Saucony A strong symbol of community and sharing
Milan is the capital of Italy for running, as confirmed once again by Milano21, the half marathon held on Sunday, November 23rd: the route started from City Life, with the Vigorelli serving as the meeting point, and passed through iconic locations such as Piazza Castello, Piazza del Duomo, Porta Venezia, the Darsena, and Parco Sempione. In this context, somewhere between competition and passion for running, Saucony presented Run As One, a takeover that combined sport, performance, and community into a powerful and collective gesture. For 21 km, 50 runners ran in perfect sync, completing the race in 100 minutes: some were aiming for a personal best, others were pacing the group, but all shared the same goal—to run together.
The various Italian crews supported by Saucony – Amor Run Club, Running Rebels, Lace, and Milano Track Fanatix – created a compact and engaging wave, crossing Milan with determination and harmony. Not only that: at the nineteenth kilometer, in the heart of the city, the cheering zone erupted with pure energy to celebrate the spirit of Run As One. With this activation, Saucony confirms its role not just as a running brand but as a platform for expression and connection, capable of turning a sporting event into a social and cultural experience.
Running has evolved significantly, no longer solely a competitive endeavor or an activity for those pushing personal limits (a space now occupied by ultramarathons). Instead, it has become a powerful symbol of community and shared experiences, providing an avenue for social connection, an opportunity to meet individuals with similar interests, and a way to discover common passions. In this sense, running acts as an excellent "excuse" to forge and strengthen relationships. Saucony's initiative, which supported Milano21 runners and offered them a special retreat, exemplifies this spirit of sharing.
