All the jerseys of the Giro d'Italia 2025 From the pink jersey to the special kits created by the racing teams

Tomorrow, the 108th edition of the Giro d'Italia, the most important stage cycling race on the Italian calendar, will depart from Durazzo, in Albania. For three weeks, fans will be on the edge of their seats to find out who will arrive at the usual finish line in Rome wearing the coveted pink jersey. The Giro d'Italia is a race of traditions and customs that come to life every May, with a visual identity that has been shaped by over a century of history. Among these traditions are the jerseys worn by the riders, which not only define their roles and achievements in various classifications, but also create legends, tell stories, and etch the names of cyclists into the memories of fans. The most coveted jersey is the pink jersey, which has represented the overall leader for 70 years and has become synonymous with the race itself. The dream of the 184 riders who will take to the saddle tomorrow is to cross Italy and lift the Senza Fine trophy on June 1st.

In 2017, the Ciclamino jersey was reintroduced, worn by the leader of the points classification, which is determined by the number of points earned at intermediate sprints and stage finishes. This year, there will also be a new addition of the Red Bull sponsored kilometer, an additional intermediate sprint that offers valuable time bonuses for the general classification. Another highly recognizable jersey is the blue one, reserved for the best climber in the peloton, determined by the points earned at the top of important climbs along the route. Last but certainly not least, the white jersey is awarded to the best rider in the general classification under the age of 25, which in recent years has sometimes overlapped with the overall winner of the Giro. The leader jerseys of the Giro are made by the Italian company Castelli, the technical sponsor of the Corsa Rosa for many years.

But the special jerseys of the Giro are not only reserved for the best in each category, as invited teams use the race as a stage to showcase new jerseys or variations on traditional designs with the help of various brands. This is the case for the American team EF Education-Easypost, which, following their cult jersey designed by Rapha in collaboration with Palace Skateboarding for the 2020 Giro, changes their look every year. This time, they will race in a white jersey and black shorts, with the team's signature pink defining the logos and sponsors of Carapaz and his teammates, a bold outfit that is required by the regulations. No one is allowed to wear a pink jersey during the Giro, to avoid confusion with the overall leader. One special jersey, however, will be worn only by Egan Bernal of Ineos Grenadiers, who is finally returning to the spotlight in a major stage race. The Colombian national champion will wear a kit designed by Gobik Wear, inspired by the great tradition of Café de Colombia, the team that brought the first South American cyclists to European races in the 1980s.
