Macron's anthem jackets are one of a kind The brand presented its latest collection

The moment when teams step onto the field and line up to listen to their league's anthem has become an increasingly iconic part of club culture. While this tradition was once reserved for international matches, where the performance of the national anthem was a sacred ritual, its commercial adaptation began when it was introduced in the Champions League. It quickly became one of the most anticipated moments — the very first time fans actively join in, shouting "The Champions" at the climax of Tony Britten’s symphony.

In recent years, official anthems have also made their way into major European leagues, offering teams and brands a unique opportunity to design apparel specifically for this ceremonial moment. The most visible trend has been anthem jackets inspired by tracksuit aesthetics — merging fashion with football while staying true to field-inspired design. One brand that has managed to stand out is Macron, which in recent seasons has released anthem jackets celebrated for their exceptional uniqueness.

The latest collection was unveiled through the "Sound of Us" campaign, in which Macron presented five jackets representing Wrexham, Bologna, Austria Vienna, PAOK Thessaloniki, and Standard Liège. Five cultures, five instruments, united in a single visual and auditory symphony crafted by the Bologna-based brand. To celebrate this uniqueness, Macron collaborated with five musicians from BOSCO STUDIO, including three composers, who wrote, performed, and recorded an original piece for the occasion: the “Macron Anthem.” This campaign flips the perspective: the anthem jackets are no longer the stars but the finishing touch, completing the magical atmosphere created by the music — just as it happens on the pitch.
