This Nike jacket is set to revolutionise the Olympics The coolest uniform at Milano Cortina 2026?
The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games haven’t started yet, but we already have an instant classic. It’s the Therma-FIT Air Milano jacket created by Nike ACG for the United States national team. A revolutionary piece featuring computational design to offer athletes dynamic warmth and personalized thermal control in any weather condition. This is because the Therma-FIT includes a system that allows each athlete to adjust the temperature inside the jacket by increasing or reducing the amount of air in the panels. The warmth levels range from those of a light hoodie to those of a medium-weight puffer jacket.
A garment that pushes forward every known parameter for fit and aesthetics associated with Winter Games apparel. An ultra-technological jacket that doesn't compromise on style, thanks to sculpted design elements that enhance its elegance. Science meets fashion. In the press release accompanying its launch, Nike explained the concept behind the creation of this jacket: “While most outerwear designs are limited by the horizontal structure required to contain synthetic or down insulation, the designers realized that a jacket built around Air technology would free them from this constraint.”
Each jacket also features a personalized ACG pump, metallic twill branding, and an inner lining graphic representing the Garden of the Gods — the team’s base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Other aesthetic details worth noting include thumb loops on the inner bottom hem and a magnetic zipper designed to help Paralympic athletes close the jacket. The official debut will take place during the opening ceremony scheduled for February 6, 2026, at San Siro, but this jacket is set to flood our feeds throughout the two weeks of the Olympic Games, as U.S. athletes will also wear it on the podium during the medal ceremonies.
