66°North redefines Iceland's style for Milano Cortina 2026 From Hoffellsjökull to San Siro
Hoffellsjökull. This is where the most stunning photoshoot for Milano Cortina 2026 took place. The shoot was organized by 66°North, the official clothing sponsor of Iceland for the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. It marks a homecoming for the Icelandic brand, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026: 66°North previously served as Iceland’s official sponsor at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer in 1994 and Nagano in 1998. After 28 years, the brand’s return was commemorated with a futuristic collection shot in the breathtaking surroundings of the Hoffellsjökull glacier, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural landmarks.
The athletes wear a reimagined version of the Hornstrandir, the brand’s signature jacket, paired with technical trousers designed to adapt to any activity—from skiing to hiking—and complemented by HOKA Kaha 2 Frost Moc Gore-Tex shoes. The all-white look blends seamlessly with the glacial backdrop of the shoot, evoking the atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic sci-fi scene, where cutting-edge gear—helmets, masks, and gloves—melds effortlessly with Iceland’s iconic ice.
Beyond technical apparel, 66°North will also style the athletes for the opening ceremony, scheduled for February 6 at San Siro. The brand has created a series of pieces to define the Icelandic Olympic team’s official aesthetic, continuing the tradition from past Games: the white jacket with blue accents worn in Lillehammer, followed by the red jacket with blue details seen four years later in Nagano.
